The final day of the pilot couldn’t have gone much better, it was a fitting way to round off what had been a memorable experience. The sun was out, everyone was in good spirits, and the young people, full of energy, chose to spend their last day on the beach.

Some got stuck into building dams, playing beach games or creating driftwood structures, while others took on the task of clearing the steps, which had been piled high with sand.

Lunch was relaxed, some ate at the Bus Yard, while others enjoyed their packed lunches.

It brought to mind those laid-back beach days from childhood, easy, fun, and filled with small moments that stay with you.

Whether relaxing in the shade or making the most of the final hours, it was clear everyone was enjoying themselves.

Later in the day, the mood shifted to one of reflection and celebration.

Learning Group Advisors were given gifts as a thank you for their support, from the parents, and each young person received a certificate, a simple but meaningful way to mark what they’d achieved.

The day ended with cheers, laughter, and a genuine sense that something special had taken place.

A feeling of connection, growth, and everything they had experienced together.
